How a storm board up works
We measure each opening and cut plywood to fit. Sheets are fastened to the frame, not just leaned in place, so they hold up in the next storm. Roof openings get heavy tarps secured at the edges. If a tree is still on the structure we can add temporary shoring to keep the roof from sagging until it is removed.

Your policy expects you to limit further damage after a storm. Water that gets in through an open window can ruin floors, drywall and furniture in a single night. Do you come out during a storm?
We respond as soon as it is safe for the crew to work, usually within hours of the call. Boarding a broken window the same day keeps rain out of the house and limits the damage to floors, drywall and furniture.
Will the board up hold in the next storm?
Yes. Every sheet is screwed to the window or door frame, not leaned in place, and roof tarps are anchored along the edges. The cover is built to stay put through the next round of wind and hail.
Can you handle a tree that fell on my roof?
Yes. If the tree is still on the structure we install temporary shoring so the roof does not sag, tarp the opening, and board any windows the branches broke. Tree removal is coordinated with your contractor.
Does insurance cover storm damage board up?
Storm board up is usually covered because it prevents further damage, which your policy requires you to do. We give you before and after photos and an itemized invoice to submit with the claim.
Do you replace the glass after a storm?
Yes. We board the opening first so the building is secure, then measure and replace the window or storefront glass and remove the plywood, so you deal with one company from start to finish.
